BACKGROUND
Chapter 39A of the Revised Code of Dallas provides moving expense and replacement housing payments for individuals displaced by the City of Dallas in conjunction with its real property acquisition activities.
On January 8, 2020, City Council authorized the acquisition of real property known as 369 VZ CR 3836 for Lake Tawakoni 144-inch Transmission Pipeline Project by Resolution No. 20-0110.
Charles T. Simmons and Nan Simmons will be displaced as a direct result of this property acquisition. They qualify for a moving expense payment of up to $2,050.00 and a last resort calculated replacement housing payment of up to $58,084.00 pursuant to the Dallas City Code and will use the replacement housing payment to acquire a replacement property.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On January 8, 2020 City Council authorized the acquisition from Charles T. Simmons and Nan Simmons, of approximately 11,736 square feet of land improved with a manufactured dwelling located in Van Zandt County of the Lake Tawakoni 144-inch Transmission Pipeline Project by Resolution No. 20-0110.
