BACKGROUND
On June 20, 2020, the City Manager received a memorandum signed by three Council members to consider an application for a Street Name change from Locust Avenue between Gladewater Road and Aztec Drive, to "Frank H. Henderson Drive".
On August 10, 2020, the Subdivision Section received a memorandum signed by Council members to proceed with the correction of the street name change to "Frank Henderson Jr. Drive".
On July 30, 2020, notification signs were put up on Locust Avenue between Gladewater Road and Aztec Drive in accordance with Section 51A-9.503(b) of the Dallas Development Code to change the street name to "Frank Henderson Jr. Drive".
On August 3, 2020, notices for Subdivision Review Committee were sent to 49 property owners notifying them of the proposed street name change. The newspaper notice was published on August 3, 2020. On August 20, 2020, Subdivision Review Committee by unanimous vote recommended approval of the Street Name Change.
On August 31, 2020, notices for the City Plan Commission Hearing were sent to 49 property owners notifying them of the proposed street name change. The newspaper notice was published on August 31, 2020. On October 1, 2020, City Plan Commission by unanimous vote recommended approval of the Street Name Change.
