BACKGROUND

This service contract will provide configuration, development, and support services required to complete the second phase of the transportation for hire tracking software system implementation for the Department of Information and Technology Services. These services will support development of several new online application processes, which will allow customers in the private ambulance, emergency wrecker tow, motor vehicle tow, and vehicle immobilization sectors to complete, submit, and pay for applications for operating authority, driver, and vehicle licenses and permits online.

Transportation Regulation, a division of the Department of Aviation, will benefit from these services. The development of new online applications will expedite the Transportation Regulation licensing and permitting process by allowing customers to complete, submit, and pay for their application online rather than submitting paper applications and coming to an office to submit payments. It reduces the time required to process applications and issue licenses and permits, while maintaining historical records and reducing errors in the application and licensing process.
