BACKGROUND

 

On February 10, 2021, City Council held a public hearing and approved an application for a CR Community Retail District with deed restrictions volunteered by the applicant with the ordinance and the revised volunteered deed restrictions to return on the March 24, 2021, Council agenda.

 

The applicant proposes to allow for the development of the property as parking for retail uses to the south. The applicant has volunteered deed restrictions to prohibit various uses as well as to require screening requirements, and no structures along any residential adjacency.  At the February 10, 2021, Council hearing, the applicant volunteered an additional deed restriction to add two speed bumps to the drive aisle.

 

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On December 3, 2020, the City Plan Commission recommended approval of the request, subject to deed restrictions volunteered by the applicant to include additional restrictions regarding delivery hours and idling of large trucks.

 

On February 10, 2021, City Council held a public hearing and approved an application for a CR Community Retail District with deed restrictions volunteered by the applicant with the ordinance and the revised volunteered deed restrictions to return on the March 24, 2021, City Council agenda.
