BACKGROUND

On November 25, 2020, the City of Dallas advertised for bids for the Crockett Park Dog Park - Site Development Project. In response to the advertisement, the Office of Procurement Services received bids from five firms on December 18, 2020.

This action will award a construction services contract with A S Con, Inc. for construction of the Crockett Park Dog Park - Site Development Project located at 501 Carroll Avenue.

The scope of work includes construction of a new dog park within the existing Crockett Park located in Old East Dallas. The improvements will include two fenced paddocks, one for small dogs and another for larger dogs. The improvements also include a drinking fountain with dog bowl(s), benches, dog waste stations, trash receptacles, powder coated steel fencing around the paddocks, lighting, planting and irrigation, connecting walkways and a central plaza area for sitting and congregating. This site has also been selected to receive public art, which is not a part of this contract and will be handled separately by the Office of Arts and Culture.
