An ordinance abandoning a portion of Bixel Street to Simple 75229 Inc and Y-C Nurseries, Inc. formerly known as Auburn-Camp, LLC, the abutting owners, containing a total of approximately 29,377 square feet of land, located near the intersection of Bixel Street and Harry Hines Boulevard; and authorizing the quitclaim and providing for the dedication of approximately 9,708 square feet of land needed for a wastewater easement - Revenue: General Capital Reserve Fund ($403,029.00) General Fund ($20,000.00), plus the $20.00 ordinance publication fee

BACKGROUND
This item authorizes the abandonment of a portion of Bixel Street to Simple 75229 Inc and Y-C Nurseries Inc. formerly known as Auburn-Camp, LLC, the abutting owners, containing a total of approximately 29,377 square feet of land. The areas will be included with the property of the abutting owners to construct a commercial building. The owner will dedicate approximately 9,708 square feet of land needed for a wastewater easement. The abandonment fee is based on an independent appraisal.
Notices were sent to 45 property owners located within 300 feet of the proposed abandonment area. There were no responses received in opposition to this request.
