Horton - Texas, Ltd., located at Walnut Ridge Drive near its intersection with Cornerstone Lane in Ellis County, Texas for the Integrated Pipeline System to Dallas Waterline Project - Not to exceed $474,000.00 ($464,000.00, plus closing costs and title expenses not to exceed $10,000.00) - Financing: Water Construction Fund

BACKGROUND
This item authorizes the acquisition of four tracts from D.R. Horton - Texas, Ltd. Containing a total of approximately 35,494 square feet of land located at Walnut Ridge Drive near its intersection with Cornerstone Lane in Ellis County, Texas for the IPL to Dallas Waterline Project. Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) has partnered with Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) to develop an integrated transmission pipeline system that will bring raw water from Lake Palestine, Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek Reservoirs to supply water to DWU and TRWD facilities. The IPL to Dallas Waterline Project will connect the IPL water in northwest Ellis County to the DWU water system. To accomplish this, the City needs to acquire the four tracts of land. The consideration is based on an independent appraisal. There are no relocation benefits associated with this acquisition.
