BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Mavel Tovar filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in an automobile collision on February 13, 2023, involving a Department of Public Works employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Mavel Tovar have reached a proposed settlement, subject to City Council approval. Mavel Tovar is represented by Jeffrey Clark and Kelsoe, Khoury, Rogers & Clark, P.C.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on September 20, 2024.
