BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.
This service price agreement will provide for a web-based safety and environmental management system for the Water Utilities Department (DWU). The management system will provide safety and environmental training, compliance, and professional development solutions. The system's integrated e-learning content, training solutions, and cloud-based software is designed to enable DWU to improve safety, operations, and employee development. The platform will provide DWU with a web-based subscription in which will be readily available and easily accessible to all employees. The management system provides online safety and environmental training aids, online training tracking, and environmental regulatory compliance tracking for DWU employees, and contractors, in accordance with, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
