Body

BACKGROUND

In August 2022, the North Texas region experienced two widespread, damaging rainfall events that caused significant damage to the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA).  The Building Services Department (BSD) completed several assessments of the damage to the DMA and it was determined that there were two areas significantly impacted by water infiltration:  (1) the C3 Hoffman Gallery on the first level; and (2) the Reves Gallery on the upper level.

After completing the water mitigation and damage assessments, the total reconstruction cost is estimated to be $3,000,000.00.  A contract was established with Corgan Associates, Inc. to provide architectural design and planning services to ensure that reconstruction will address the damages and meet the needs of the DMA.

Corgan Associates, Inc. is a leading architecture and design firm located in Dallas and was selected from the Aviation Department’s pre-qualified list of consultants, Solicitation No. CIZ1959.
