BACKGROUND
This action will authorize Change Order No. 1 to the construction services contract with The Fain Group, Inc. The original scope of work was for the construction of the Hi-Line Connector Trail. This change order addresses construction material and labor cost increases along with removing accent lighting and underground electrical service rerouting.
On June 15, 2023 the Park and Recreation Board approved this item with an amendment to the proposed change order amount of ($96,486.41) to ($366,844.41).
This change results in a decrease of ($366,844.41), decreasing the contract amount from $11,531,424.84 to $11,164,580.43.

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On June 23, 2021, the City Council authorized a development agreement and all other necessary documents with Circuit Trail Conservancy and/or its affiliates for the design and construction of the North Victory segment of the Hi Line Connector Trail Project located in the Victory Sub-district of the Sports Arena TIF District by Resolution No. 21-1155.
On March 10, 2022, the Park and Recreation Board authorized a contract with The Fain Group, Inc., for the construction the Hi Line Connector Trail along Victory Avenue and Hi Line Drive between, the Katy Trail to the Trinity Strand Trail.
On June 15, 2023, the Park and Recreation Board approved this item with an amendment to the proposed change order amount of ($96,486.41) to ($366,844.41).
