Authorize a construction services contract for the construction of Street Reconstruction Group 17-1406 (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet) - Aushill Construction, LLC, lowest responsible bidder of seven - Not to exceed $1,239,202.00 - Financing 2023 Certificate of Obligation ($986,714.00), Water Capital Improvement G Fund ($230,938.00), Wastewater Construction Fund ($8,500.00), and Water Construction Fund ($13,050.00)

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction services contract with Aushill Construction, LLC for the construction of two local streets reconstruction projects as Street Reconstruction Group 17-1406.
The scope of this project group includes replacing the deteriorating roadway with reinforced concrete pavement, driveway approaches, storm drainage, water main improvements, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Following are the locations and construction costs for each project:

Aushill Construction, LLC is located in Plano, Texas and is a registered vendor with the City of Dallas.

If this project group is not awarded for construction at this time, the streets will continue to deteriorate causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form, creating additional maintenance cost for the City and potential damages to vehicles utilizing the streets. Field conditions may also change, which will require modifications to the engineering design plans, requiring additional funding and time to address.
