Title
Authorize a construction services contract for the 2024 One-Year Term Agreement for Improved Alley Maintenance Program - B & E Concrete Paving LLC, the lowest responsible bidder of four (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet) - Not to exceed $2,793,048.00 - Financing: Street and Alley Improvement Fund (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
The Infrastructure Management Program identified a need for maintenance of alleys requiring partial reconstruction. Improved alleys are defined as alleys that have been constructed in concrete or asphalt. In 2022, funding was provided for the maintenance of concrete alleys that were only in need of partial reconstruction, where less than 25% of the pavement needed repair, and the work was completed in house. This project provides for construction services scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024 for a one-year term. Bid specifications were developed and publicly advertised for competitive bids associated with the 2024 Improved Alley Maintenance Program.
This action will authorize a construction services contract with B & E Concrete Paving LLC for the 2024 One-Year Term Agreement for Improved Alley Maintenance Program.
B & E Concrete Paving LLC is a Plano-based corporation and is a registered vendor with the City of Dallas.
B & E Concrete Paving LLC has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas within the past three years.

Begin Construction February 2024
Complete Testing January 2025
