BACKGROUND
On February 10, 2021, the City of Dallas advertised for bids for Trinity Forest Spine Trail North Phase I. In response to the advertisement, the Office of Procurement Services received bids from five firms on March 12, 2021.
This action will award a contract for construction of the Trinity Forest Spine Trail North Phase I to North Rock Construction, LLC, lowest responsible bidder of five for the Base Bid and Alternates Nos. 1, 6, 7, and 9, in an amount not to exceed $5,735,687.08. This project was included in the 2017 Bond Program.
The scope of work includes the construction of a 12-feet wide multi-use trail located from the Santa Fe Trail to Samuel Boulevard.

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On January 10, 2019, the Park and Recreation Board authorized a Development and Funding Agreement with the Circuit Trail Conservancy for design development documents for The LOOP.
On February 27, 2019, City Council authorized a Development and Funding Agreement with the Circuit Trail Conservancy for design development documents for The LOOP by Resolution No. 19-0340.
On October 15, 2020, the Park and Recreation Board was briefed on Trinity Forest Spine Trail North Phase I.
On May 20, 2021, the Park and Recreation Board authorized a construction services contract North Rock Construction, LLC for the construction of Trinity Forest Spine Trail North Phase I located from the Santa Fe Trail to Samuel Boulevard.
