Body
BACKGROUND
In 2025, the Department of Equipment and Fleet Management applied for funding under the North Texas Diesel Emissions Reduction Project 2024 Call for Projects from the North Central Texas Council of Governments. This $1,106.984.00 grant award represents partial funding for two replacement vehicles for the City of Dallas that will be assigned to the Dallas Water Utilities Department and partial funding for five replacement vehicles for the City of Dallas that will be assigned to the Department of Sanitation Services. These seven vehicles include projects/activities for two class 7 service trucks and five class 8 refuse haulers. The combined award provides funding ranging from 25 percent to 45 percent of the cost of a replacement vehicle or equipment. The remaining funds are matched through both the DWU Fleet and Equipment Fund and the SAN Capital Improvement Fund.
