Authorize a construction services contract for the Camp Wisdom Road Over Ricketts Creek Bridge Repair Project - Austin Filter Systems, Inc., lowest responsible bidder of five - Not to exceed $2,293,892.00 - Financing: 2024B Certificates of Obligation Fund

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction services contract with Austin Filter Systems, Inc., for the construction of Camp Wisdom Road Over Ricketts Creek Bridge Repair.
The scope of this project includes replacing the existing concrete riprap with new concrete riprap, constructing a new cast, placing a retaining wall to reinforce the existing MSE wall, repairing the existing pavement, joints, sidewalks, inlets, and guardrails. This project will also add a new inlet.

If this project is not awarded for construction at this time, erosion will continue to undermine the existing retaining wall and riprap, drainage issues will continue to occur, and the roadway will continue to deteriorate causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form creating additional maintenance costs for the City and potential damages to vehicles utilizing the roadway. Field conditions may also change, which will require modifications to the engineering design plans, requiring additional funding and time to address.
