Body
BACKGROUND
On August 14, 2024, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 32811 for a new Specific Use Permit No. 2558; on property located on the south line of Elm Street west of Crowdus Street, to allow a bar, lounge, or tavern use on property zoned Tract A within Planned Development District No. 269 (Deep Ellum/Near East Side).
Subsequent, to the passage of the ordinance, it was discovered that the Specific Use Permit No. 2558 had previously been assigned to a different case number which was approved by City Council under Ordinance No. 32879 on September 25, 2024. The correction ordinance updates the latter Specific Use Permit No. 2585. No other corrections are proposed; however, associated site plan will also be updated with the corrected Specific Use Permit No. No. 2585.
On January 26, 2011, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 28104 for Planned Development District No. 840, on an area bounded by Gayglen Drive, Oklaunion Drive, Komalty Drive, and Longbranch Lane; on property zoned an R-7.5(A) Single Family District.
Subsequent to the passage of the ordinance it was determined that the Sec. 51P-840.110(b) inaccurately removed an exception permitting queueing and student drop-off/pick-up in the city rights-of-way. The Traffic Management Plan associated with the approved Planned Development District ordinance includes the depiction of queueing, student drop-off/pick-up areas in the city rights-of-way. The correction returns the exception to the language by adding, “Except as provided in the traffic management plan,” to reflect the original language from the case report, conditions, and no changes noted in the minutes. The corrected ordinance updates the Traffic Management Plan language to allow exceptions depicted on the approved plan.
On May 12, 2021, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 31859 for Planned Development District No. 1052, located east of Denley Drive; south of the Trinity River Greenbelt; west of Corinth Street Road; north of Canyon Street; north of Hutchins Avenue; and along both sides of Canyon Street; on property zoned an R-5(A) Single Family District and a TH-1(A) Townhouse District.
Subsequent to the passage of the ordinance it was determined that the Sec. 51P-1052.109.(b)(4) inadvertently referenced “Front porches must comply with Section 51P-1052.114(b)(1)” rather than Section 51P-1052.115(b)(1) to reflect the final order of the sections of the ordinance. The corrected ordinance updates the section number referenced for the front porch design standards.
