Authorize an increase in (1) the construction services contract with Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, LLC to provide additional construction services to the Dallas Zoo South Garage located at 725 South Ewing Avenue; and (2) appropriations in an amount not to exceed $230,715.96 in the Capital Gifts Donations and Development Fund - Not to exceed $230,715.96, from $14,653,405.99 to $14,884,121.95 - Financing: Capital Gifts, Donations and Development Fund

BACKGROUND
The original scope of work included the construction of a five-story cast-in-place and pre-cast concrete parking garage with 510 vehicle spaces and a concrete surface parking lot with 70 vehicle spaces.
This action will authorize Change Order No. 2 to the construction services contract with Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, LLC that will provide additional construction services for the Dallas Zoo South Garage that include additional improvements to landscaping and site paving, additions to the parking controls system, new protection walls against unforeseen water intrusion, and additional protection bollards at the sprinkler standpipes. All improvements have been requested by the Dallas Zoological Society and have provided funding to cover these costs.

On January 10, 2024, the City Council authorized construction services contract with Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, LLC to provide construction services for Dallas Zoo South Garage, located at 725 South Ewing Avenue, by Resolution No. 24-0377.
On June 4, 2026, the Park and Recreation Board approved an increase in the construction services contract with Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, LLC to provide additional construction services to the Dallas Zoo South Garage located at 725 South Ewing Avenue.
