Authorize a professional services contract with Dunaway Associates, LLC to provide engineering services for the design of the Bernal Trail Project from Tumalo Trail to Norwich Street - Not to exceed $657,425.00 - Financing: Street and Transportation (A) Fund (2024 General Obligation Bond Fund)

BACKGROUND
This project will construct a new 12-foot-wide shared-use path in the median of Bernal Drive from Tumalo Trail to Pluto Street and extend the existing 12-foot-wide shared use path in the parkway along the south side of Bernal Drive from Norwich Street to Pluto Street. This project will also include the reconstruction of the north sidewalk along Bernal Drive from Tumalo Trail to past Emma Carter Park including crosswalks, barrier free ramps, signs and pavement markings, and landscaping/hardscaping.
The Request for Qualifications (CIZ24-PBW-3124) was issued on October 9, 2024 for Streets and Transportation Design Services for Special Projects. Dunaway Associates, LLC was selected following a qualifications-based selection process to provide engineering services for the design of the Bernal Trail Project.
This action will authorize a professional services contract with Dunaway Associates, LLC to provide engineering services for the Bernal Trail Project from Tumalo Trail to Norwich Street.
