BACKGROUND
On October 26, 2022, a proposal was received for the Willie Mae Butler Playground Renovation for the installation of playground equipment and replacement of a curb ramp. Whirlix Design, LLC a Texas Association of School Boards (BuyBoard) vendor, provided a bid proposal in the amount of $135,565.52 for the installation of playground equipment and replacement of a curb ramp.
This action authorizes a construction services contract with Whirlix Design, LLC to install the playground equipment and replace the curb ramp located at the Willie Mae Butler Playground, in an amount not to exceed $135,565.52.
The scope of work includes:
• The installation of playground equipment.
• The replacement of a curb ramp.

Begin Construction September 2023
Complete Construction October 2023
