BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a two-year service contract for a proactive maintenance program for 75 City-owned facilities that serve our Police and Fire personnel, and storm readiness and leak response services for City-owned facilities city-wide.

This service contract will provide three categories of services:  (1) Proactive - a roof maintenance plan for 75 Public Safety facilities which includes reactive services, roof leak guarantee, roof reports, and a biannual portfolio review; (2) First Watch - a storm readiness program for city-wide facilities, which includes priority and emergency storm response, risk notifications, and storm assessments; and (3) Reactive - an emergency leak response program for city-wide facilities, which includes status updates, a two-year labor warranty, and roof and building envelope repair services with before and after documentation.  These services will aid in the management of our roofs, track roof conditions, and provide a method to both respond to, and reduce, emergency repair calls.
