Title
Authorize a professional engineering services contract with WSB LLC, to provide traffic signal design services for the five intersections as follows: Abrams Road at Meadowknoll Drive, Briargrove Lane at Dallas Parkway, Dallas Parkway at Verde Valley Lane, Forest Lane at Schroeder Road, and North Munger Boulevard at Swiss Avenue (Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon) - Not to exceed $565,977.00 - Financing: General Fund ($452,781.60) and Street and Transportation (A) Fund (2017 General Obligation Bond Fund) ($113,195.40)

BACKGROUND
On October 9, 2024, the City of Dallas released Request for Qualifications “CIZ24-PBW-3124 Streets and Transportation Design Services for Special Projects” for professional engineering services for various transportation infrastructure projects including streets, alleys, sidewalks, trails, and special services for traffic signals, street lighting/pedestrian lighting, permanent traffic signs, bicycle lane design, traffic studies, data gathering, permanent paving markings, intersection improvements, and railroad quiet zones.
This action will authorize a professional engineering services contract with WSB LLC, for the design of traffic signals at the following five intersections:
Intersection Council District
Abrams Road at Meadowknoll Drive 10
Briargrove Lane at Dallas Parkway 12
Dallas Parkway at Verde Valley Lane 11
Forest Lane at Schroeder Road 10
North Munger Boulevard at Swiss Avenue 14
If approved, this action will authorize a professional engineering services contract with WSB LLC to support the warranted installation or upgrade if traffic signal infrastructure at five intersections and conduct a traffic safety analysis and other associated tasks to improve traffic safety and efficiency, in an amount not to exceed $565,977.00.
