Body

BACKGROUND

The Deppartment of Planning &and Development received complaints from the City Council oOffice about contractors taking up on-street and metered parking in Planned Development District (PDD) No. 193. After review, staff determined that parking enforcement efforts were limited. The City Council oOffice recommended requiring off-street parking plans to be reviewed and approved during the construction permitting stage.

The parking plan will include:

Site plan of parking for workers/visitors

Number of anticipated workers vs. spaces

List of approved parking lots (on/off-site)

                     Responsible party contact info

                     Transit options and compliance statement

If this item is approved, construction projects greater than 200,000 sq. feet within PDD No. 193 that are expected to exceed one year in construction time will need to have an approved parking plan.
