Authorize a five-year cooperative purchasing agreement for a software subscription of internet traffic monitoring and network security threat management for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Netsync Network Solutions, Inc. through the Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement - Not to exceed $4,448,218.25 - Financing: Data Services Fund ($2,270,576.44), Information Technology Equipment Fund ($1,780,575.00), and ARPA Redevelopment Fund ($397,066.81) (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide a replacement software subscription for internet traffic monitoring and network security threat management technology. Palo Alto Prisma will provide security of cloud environments, ensuring protection, visibility, and compliance across cloud applications and infrastructure.

The Palo Alto Prisma solution is a comprehensive suite that helps organizations manage their cloud security needs, offering consistent protection, data security, enhanced visibility, compliance assurance, and streamlined operations across various cloud environments.
The Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
