BACKGROUND
This item on behalf of the Dallas Fire Rescue Department authorizes a settlement for the acquisition of approximately 52,059 square feet of land located near the intersection of Lombardy Lane and Brockbank Drive from AT&T Inc., formerly known as Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for the Fire Station No. 43 Replacement Project. This settlement will allow acquisition of the property without further condemnation proceedings.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On June 11, 2025, the City Council authorized condemnation for the acquisition of real property from AT&T, Inc., formerly known as Southwestern Bell Telephone Company of approximately 52,059 square feet of land in Dallas County for the Fire Station No. 43 Replacement Project by Resolution No. 25-0961.
On March 26, 2025, the City Council authorized the necessity of acquiring real property and authorizing its purchase for public use from AT&T, Inc., formerly known as Southwestern Bell Telephone Company of approximately 52,059 square feet of land located near the intersection of Lombardy Lane and Brockbank Drive for the Fire Station No. 43 Replacement Project by Resolution No. 25-0452.
