BACKGROUND
This item on behalf of the Convention and Event Services authorizes a settlement for the acquisition of approximately 36,227 square feet of land located near the intersection of Young and Houston Streets for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) Master Plan Component 1 Convention Center Expansion Project This settlement will allow acquisition of the property without further condemnation proceedings.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On April 23, 2025, the City Council authorized purchase and/or condemnation for the acquisition of real property from Charter DMN Holdings, LP, of approximately 36,228 square feet of land in Dallas County for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) Master Plan Component 1 Convention Center Expansion Project, by Resolution No. 25-0661.
