Title
Authorize (1) an Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for a U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration federal-aid project (Agreement No. CSJ 0047-07-250, Assistance Listing No. 20.205) in the amount of $708,832.54 for reimbursement of materials and labor costs incurred by the City for the construction of traffic signals at five intersections: U.S (US) Highway 75 (US 75) at Lovers Lane, US 67 at Wheatland Road, US 67 at Camp Wisdom Road, Interstate Highway 20 at Polk Street, and State Highway 190 at Rosemeade Parkway, and for the retiming of directly impacted traffic signals within the project areas; (2) the establishment of appropriations in the amount of $708,832.54 in the TxDOT HSIP 5-Signals Reimbursement Fund; (3) the receipt and deposit of funds in the amount of $708,832.54 in the TxDOT HSIP 5-Signals Reimbursement Fund; and (4) execution of the agreement and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Total amount of $708,832.54 - Financing: TxDOT HSIP 5-Signals Reimbursement Fund

BACKGROUND
TxDOT is constructing traffic signals and associated on-system intersection improvements at the following five intersections: US 75 at Lovers Lane (CSJ No. 0047-07-250), US 67 at Wheatland Road (CSJ No. 0261-02-085), US 67 at Camp Wisdom Road (CSJ No. 0261-03-071), Interstate Highway (IH) 20 at Polk Street (CSJ No. 2374-04-099), and State Highway (SH) 190 at Rosemeade Parkway (CSJ No. 2964-04-012). The project will include the construction of new traffic signals; pedestrian and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-related improvements; the retiming of directly impacted traffic signals within the project areas; and other related improvements.

To maintain consistency with equipment used throughout the citywide traffic signal system, the City of Dallas will provide traffic signal controllers and cabinets, radar detection equipment, traffic signs, and battery backup equipment for the project. TxDOT will reimburse the City for the associated materials and labor costs.
