BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.

The management system will provide safety and environmental training, compliance, and professional development solutions. The system’s integrated e-learning content, training solutions, and cloud-based software is designed to enable DWU to improve safety, operations, and employee development. The platform will provide DWU with a web-based subscription in which will be readily available and easily accessible to all employees. The management system provides online safety and environmental training aids, online training tracking, and environmental regulatory compliance tracking for DWU employees, and contractors, in accordance with, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
Safety is a critical component for DWU employees who maintain all aspects of providing quality drinking water and the processing of wastewater and stormwater, to maintain a high quality of life for the community. Safeguarding the general public from construction sites and operations is also paramount, the system will provide important training resources for the department. Environmental training and compliance is a critical aspect to ensure employees understand and appreciate the impact of the operation and their actions on the environment, the system will provide.
The professional development aspect will provide targeted training for DWU staff for professional growth with courses focused on emotional intelligence, team building, effective communication, coaching, leadership techniques, and motivational methods. The system overall will assist DWU in the efforts of continuous improvement.
