Title
Authorize a five-year service contract, with two two-year renewal options, for snack and fresh market vending machines citywide for the Department of Facilities and Real Estate Management - Compass Group USA, Inc, only proposer - Estimated Annual Net Revenue: General Fund $89,040.00

BACKGROUND
This service contract will provide for snack and fresh market vending machines citywide for the Department of Facilities and Real Estate Management. The contract will include fresh market foods, healthy food options, and snacks in vending machines to be located at various City-owned facilities. In addition to providing snack and meal options to City staff and visitors, this revenue contract will provide commission to the City based on sales which are paid into the City's general fund.
A six-member committee from the following departments reviewed and evaluated the qualifications:
• Facilities and Real Estate Management (3)
• Park & Recreation Department (1)
• Office of Procurement Services (2)*
*The Office of Procurement Services evaluated cost, local preference, and the Business Inclusion and Development Plan, if applicable.
The committee selected the successful respondent on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualifications under the following criteria:
• Financial terms 40 points
• Healthy options and pricing 15 points
• Operational plan 15 points
• Business and Inclusion Development Plan 15 points
• Educational and marketing plan 10 points
• Local Preference 5 points
As part of the solicitation process and in an effort to increase competition, the Office of Procurement Services used its procurement system to send out email notifications to vendors registered under relevant commodity codes. To further increase competition, the Office of Procurement Services uses historical solicitation information, the Internet, and vendor contact information obtained from user departments to contact additional vendors.
