Body

BACKGROUND

The Department of Aviation operates 20 PBBs and 20 GPUs at DAL.  The PBBs help to facilitate the efficient boarding and deplaning of commercial passengers at the terminal concourse. The GPUs provides essential electrical power to the aircraft's systems ensuring that the aircraft can operate smoothly and safely.

The existing PBBs and GPUs are approaching the end of their useful service life and require replacement to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient passenger operations. This replacement effort will maintain the continued functionality of the terminal concourse and support ongoing airport operations without increasing the number of gates or altering existing aircraft activity.

The work will also include removing, reinstalling, and/or storing all accessories/components of the existing and new PBBs and GPUs, while utilizing the existing foundations, structural anchor points, and available electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Oshkosh AeroTech, LLC has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas within the past three years.
