BACKGROUND
The professional services contract will provide design and engineering services for the Five Mile Creek Greenbelt Trail TASA Project and prepare the project for TxDOT review, approval, and bidding.
This action will authorize a professional services contract with Dal-Tech Engineering, Inc. for the Five Mile Creek Greenbelt Trail TASA Project to update the design to current field conditions, applicable design standards, and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Local Government Project Procedures (LGPP) requirements. The updated scope includes surveying, geotechnical and environmental studies, structural bridge/foundation design, erosion control and retaining wall design, cost estimate updates, minor alignment adjustments, and integration of selected playground equipment layouts in compliance with City of Dallas Playground Design Guidelines and ADA requirements. It also includes staking of the trail centerline, coordination with TxDOT for environmental documentation and right-of-way requirements, and providing bid support services.
