BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction services contract with Tejas Utilities, LLC for the Walton Walker Boulevard Lighting Improvements Project to construct lighting improvements along Walton Walker Boulevard from Spur 408 to Country Creek Drive. The Texas Department of Transportation provided written authorization to perform said work within the state right-of-way, allowing the City to proceed with construction of the project.
Bid specifications were developed and publicly advertised on May 9, 2025, for competitive bids associated with the Walton Walker Boulevard Lighting Improvements Construction Project (CIZ25-TRN-3166). Bids were opened on May 30, 2025.
Tejas Utilities, LLC has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas in the past three years.

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On August 28, 2024, the City Council authorized a professional engineering services contract with Kimley-Horn & Associates, lnc. for Streetlighting Design along Walton Walker Boulevard from Country Creek Drive to Spur 408 and other related tasks by Resolution No. 24-1177.
