BACKGROUND

 

This action will authorize a construction services contract with Austin Filter Systems, Inc. for storm drainage and erosion control improvement projects at 13 locations. Erosion control improvements will consist of gabion walls and mattresses at 5 locations, including 13156 Burning Log Lane, 816 Glen Oaks Boulevard, White Rock Creek at Walnut Hill Lane, 8555 Fair Oaks Crossing, and 10225 Betty Jane Lane. The proposed erosion control improvements will address critical erosion and stabilize eroding banks to protect property and infrastructure.

 

The project also consists of storm drainage and flood management improvements 8 locations, including 616 Calcutta Drive, Kings Branch Culvert at Genoa, Kings Branch Culvert at Stella, 1716/1721 Greendale Drive, Milverton Drive at Palisade Drive, 2470 El Cerrito, 2447 Highland Road, and Teakwood Drive from Elmridge Drive to Ashridge Drive. The storm drainage improvements will address flooding concerns at these locations. In addition, the contract will include water main replacements at two locations to address substandard mains within the project limits. These locations include Kings Branch at Stella and Kings Branch at Genoa.
