Authorize a construction services contract for the construction of Street Reconstruction Group 17-1105 (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet) - Aushill Construction, LLC, lowest responsive bidder of eight - Not to exceed $2,078,121.25 - Financing: 2024B Certificates of Obligation Fund ($1,195,533.35), Wastewater Capital Improvement G Fund ($392,154.00), Wastewater Construction Fund ($7,300.00), Water Capital Improvement G Fund ($470,033.90), and Water Construction Fund ($13,100.00)

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction services contract with Aushill Construction, LLC for the construction of two local street reconstruction projects as Street Reconstruction Group 17-1105.
The scope of work will include replacing the existing deteriorating street pavement with new reinforced concrete pavement with curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway approaches, storm drainage, water and wastewater main improvements, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the design plans and specifications.
The following are the locations and construction costs for each project:

If this project is not awarded for construction at this time, the streets will continue to deteriorate causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form, creating additional maintenance costs for the city and potential damages to vehicles utilizing these streets. Field conditions may also change, which will require modifications to the engineering design plans, requiring additional funding and time to address.
