BACKGROUND

 

This action will authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the design-build contract with Phoenix I Restoration and Construction, LLC for additional construction services for the pre-design and pre-construction services, an early construction package, and architectural and engineering services for the design and construction completion of the partially completed Paul Dyer Administration Building located at 10031 East Northwest Highway, in an amount of $990,900.76, increasing the original contract amount from $3,270,575.00 to $4,729,639.19. This supplemental agreement will extend the contract time by 185 calendar days.

 

The scope of services for this supplemental agreement includes: installation of finishes, glass, mechanical & electrical systems improvements, lighting in the community rooms on level 1 and the entire level 2, as well as drainage & sidewalk improvements for the building site.

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On May 19, 2022, the Park and Recreation Board authorized a design-build services contract with Phoenix I Restoration and Construction.

 

June 8, 2022, the City Council authorized a Design-Build services contract to provide pre-design and pre-construction services, an early construction package, and architectural and engineering services for the design and construction completion of the partially completed Paul Dyer Administration Building located at 10031 East Northwest Highway to Phoenix I Restoration and Construction, LLC in an amount not to exceed $975,809.00.

 

On April 11, 2023, the Park and Recreation Board authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the design-build services contract with Phoenix I Restoration and Construction.

 

On April 12, 2023, the City Council authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Design-Build services contract with Phoenix I Restoration and Construction LLC for additional construction services for pre-design and pre-construction services, an early construction package, and architectural and engineering services for the design and construction completion of the partially completed Paul Dyer Administration Building located at 10031 East Northwest Highway in the amount of $2,294,766.00, thereby increasing the contract from $975,809.00 to $3,270,575.00.

 

On June 20, 2024, the Park and Recreation Board will consider Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the design-build contract with Phoenix I Restoration and Construction, LLC for additional construction services for pre-design and pre-construction services, an early construction package, and architectural and engineering services for the design and construction completion of the partially completed Paul Dyer Administration Building located at 10031 East Northwest Highway.
