Authorize a one-year cooperative purchasing agreement for Microsoft Premier Support services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation through the Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement - Not to exceed $767,477.23 - Financing: Data Services Fund

BACKGROUND
This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide continuous support for enterprise-wide use of Microsoft products and solutions. Microsoft Unified Support provides dedicated, enhanced technical support, and on-site assistance for complex and critical problems. The City utilizes various Microsoft products to manage the IT environment such as Windows Server operating systems, Office 365 cloud computing, Azure, Visio, and Project. This service is a comprehensive solution that enables the City to maximize resources for enterprise operations, cybersecurity and compliance readiness, cloud and modernization projects, end-user productivity and collaboration, as well as lifecycle and patch management.
The contract is a vital component for the City that includes the following services:
• Advanced vendor-level support
• Proactive support engagements
• Problem resolution services
• Cloud modernization planning
• On-demand performance assessments
• On-demand education
The Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On April 25, 2018, the City Council authorized a three-year service contract for Microsoft Premier Support Services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation by Resolution No. 18-0616.
On January 27, 2021, the City Council authorized a one-year cooperative purchasing agreement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation by Resolution No. 21-0244.
On January 26, 2022, the City Council authorized a one-year cooperative purchasing agreement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation by Resolution No. 22-0240.
On January 25, 2023, the City Council authorized a one-year cooperative purchasing agreement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation by Resolution No. 23-0203.
On January 24, 2024, the City Council authorized a one-year cooperative purchasing agreement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation by Resolution No. 24-0181.
On January 22, 2025, the City Council authorized a one-year cooperative purchasing agreement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Microsoft Corporation by Resolution No. 25-0202.
