Authorize a construction services contract for the installation of water and wastewater mains at twenty-one locations (list attached to the Agenda Information Sheet) - Camino Construction, LP, lowest responsible bidder of five - Not to exceed $11,631,673.00 - Financing: 2022C Water Revenue Bonds (TWDB LM221535) ($7,033,091.09), Water (Drinking Water) - TWDB 2022 Fund ($182,170.47) and Wastewater Capital Improvement F Fund ($4,416,411.44)

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a construction contract for the replacement and rehabilitation of approximately 39,310 feet of water and wastewater mains. The contract includes the installation of approximately 495 feet of 6-inch, 20,820 feet of 8-inch, 1,156 feet of 12-inch, and 1,542 feet of 16-inch diameter water mains and approximately 13,813 feet of 8 inch, 599 feet of 10-inch, and 885 feet of 12-inch diameter wastewater mains.
The existing water and wastewater mains were built between 1913 and 1979. These mains are identified to be aging and in need of replacement due to service interruptions and increased maintenance efforts. The installation of the proposed segments will improve the capacity of the water and wastewater systems, reduce maintenance costs and minimize service interruptions.
