Body

BACKGROUND

The City Manager requested that city departments work with the city attorney’s office to identify provisions in the city code that are outdated, preempted, or unenforced. Many provisions were identified that had not been amended since the 1940s-with some actually not being amended since the 1860s. The proposed ordinance updates the city code to reflect current practices as well as current state and federal law.
