BACKGROUND

 

This action will authorize a construction services contract with Aushill Construction, LLC for the improvement of two streets and an alley as Target Neighborhood Group 17-4010.

 

The scope of this project group includes replacing the existing deteriorating streets and alley with new reinforced concrete pavement with curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway approaches, storm drainage, water and wastewater improvements, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the work in accordance with plans and specifications.

 

The following are the locations and construction costs for each project:

If this project is not awarded for construction at this time, the streets and alley will continue to deteriorate, causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form creating additional maintenance costs for the City and potential damages to vehicles utilizing the streets and alley. Field conditions may also change, which will require modifications to the engineering design plans, requiring additional funding and time to address.
