Authorize a two-year cooperative purchasing agreement for continued use of a network visibility solution for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Presidio Networked Solutions Group, LLC through the Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement - Not to exceed $179,434.69 - Financing: Data Services Fund (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a cooperative purchasing agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.
This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide for continued use of a network visibility solution for the Department of Information and Technology Services. This solution focuses on infrastructure and network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Some key benefits to this network visibility solution include:
• Ability to monitor City of Dallas infrastructure in a cloud environment
• Visibility/monitoring for unified communications within the City of Dallas network without pivoting between components
• Analytics and artificial intelligence to aid in the simplification of troubleshooting, trending and prediction.
• Overall high-level visibility of City of Dallas network performance and health conditions.
Finally, this network visibility solution will also provide analytics and artificial intelligence to aid in the simplification of troubleshooting, trending, and prediction, as well as overall high-level visibility network performance and health conditions.
The Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On September 23, 2020, the City Council authorized three separate, three-year cooperative purchasing agreements for the purchase and installation of hardware, licenses, maintenance, and support of various network elements that together comprise a multi-level network security and monitoring solution in response to COVID-19 work from home efforts for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Future Com Ltd. through The Interlocal Purchasing System cooperative agreement for the IXIA Enterprise system and Nozomi system and Presidio Networked Solutions Group, LLC through the Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement for the NetScout system by Resolution No. 20-1440.
