SUBJECT
Title
Authorize (1) an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for a U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration federal-aid project (CSJ 0581-01-182, Assistance Listing No. 20.205) in the amount of $549,293.15 to provide cost reimbursement for material and labor incurred by the City related to the construction of traffic signals at the following intersections: Buckner Boulevard and Jennie Lee Lane, Buckner Boulevard and Norvell Drive, Buckner Boulevard and Private Driveway, Buckner Boulevard and St. Francis Avenue, and Buckner Boulevard and Tillman Street, and retiming of directly impacted signals in the area related to the construction; (2) the establishment of appropriations in the amount of $549,293.15 in the HSIP Six Traffic Signals Fund; (3) the receipt and deposit of funds in the amount of $549,293.15 in the HSIP Six Traffic Signals Fund; and (4) execution of the agreement and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the agreement - Total amount of $549,293.15 - Financing: HSIP Six Traffic Signals Fund

BACKGROUND
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is constructing traffic signals and associated on-system intersection improvements at the following intersections: Buckner Boulevard and Jennie Lee Lane, Buckner Boulevard and Norvell Drive, Buckner Boulevard and Private Driveway, Buckner Boulevard and St. Francis Avenue, and Buckner Boulevard and Tillman Street (CSJ 0581-01-182). The project will include the construction of new traffic signals; pedestrian and Americans with Disabilities Act related improvements; signal retiming of directly impacted signals in the area of construction; and other related construction.
To remain consistent with other equipment in the citywide system, the City of Dallas will provide a controller, cabinet, radar detection equipment, traffic signs, and battery backup equipment for the project. TxDOT will reimburse the City for material and labor cost.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT
Begin Construction August 2025
Complete Construction March 2026
