BACKGROUND

 

The project scope is to replace both playground areas, to include new playground equipment, combination of engineered wood fibar/rubberized soft surfacing, and additional site improvements.

 

The Bent Tree Meadow Park Playground Replacement project scope includes replacing the existing playground area with new playground equipment, site grading, playground drainage improvements, solid sod installation in disturbed areas, and a playground safety audit. The project also provides a combination of engineered wood fiber and rubberized soft surfacing, along with additional site improvements included in the alternates.

 

• Alternate B3: Miracle Playground Equipment with Integral Shade.

• Alternate B4: Rubberized Surface Installation (Area P1).

• Alternate B9: Engineered Wood Fiber Surface Installation (Area P2).

• Alternate B10: Hi-Lo Drinking Fountain with Jug Filler and Pet Bowl Replacement.

 

The Frankford Park Playground Replacement project scope includes replacing the existing playground area with new playground equipment, site grading, playground drainage improvements, solid sod installation in disturbed areas, a playground safety audit, and concrete paving. The project also provides a combination of engineered wood fiber and rubberized soft surfacing, along with additional site improvements included in the alternates.

 

• Alternate F3: Miracle Playground Equipment with Integral Shade.

• Alternate F4: Rubberized Surface Installation (Area P1).

• Alternate F9: Engineered Wood Fiber Surface Installation (Area P2).

 

Henneberger Construction, Inc. has had no contractual activities with the City of Dallas within the past three years.

On June 18, 2026, the Park and Recreation Board approved a construction services contract for playground replacement at Bent Tree Meadow Park located at 4302 Creekmeadow Drive and Frankford Park located at 18400 Hillcrest Road.
