BACKGROUND
This item grants a private license to TLC Schools, Ltd., for the use of a total of approximately 1,724 square feet of land to occupy, maintain and utilize a sidewalk café with elevated deck and appurtenance and railings on portions of Market and Corbin Streets rights-of-way located near its intersection with Corbin Street. The use of this area will not impede pedestrian or vehicular traffic. The term of this license is forty years.
The licensee will indemnify the City and carry general liability insurance naming the City as an additional insured.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On June 10, 1998, the City Council authorized a revocable license to Landry’s Crab Shack, Inc. for the purpose of constructing, using and maintaining a sidewalk café, an elevated deck, stairs, rails, lighting, wheelchair ramp, signs and awnings on portions of Market and Corbin Streets rights-of-way by Resolution No. 98-1714 and Ordinance No 23527.
