BACKGROUND

Dallas County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, in accordance with Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure sections CCP 59.06 (d-1), (d-2), and (d-3), wishes to donate $140,800.00 to the City for Fentanyl Education and Enforcement Program. This program will allow Dallas Police Department (DPD) and Dallas County to work collaboratively on providing classroom lectures on the dangers of the use of fentanyl. Education materials like flyers, pamphlets, and brochures will be provided to schools. Additionally, public messaging will be utilized using radio advertising, social media advertising, and digital media to bring awareness to the use of fentanyl. DPD will host community meetings, safety summer camps, and townhall to educate the community about fentanyl.
