BACKGROUND
This item grants renewal of a revocable license to City of Coppell, for the use of approximately 69,218 square feet of existing subsurface space to occupy, maintain and utilize a 24-inch waterline under portions of Belt Line right-of-way near its intersection with North Lake Road. This renews the rights previously granted by Ordinance No. 20263. The use of this area will not impede pedestrian or vehicular traffic. The term of this license is forty years.
No cost is associated with this license for public use of the public right-of-way, pursuant to Sections 43-115(d) and 43-119 of the Dallas City Code. The licensee is an agency of the State of Texas, and as such, is self-insured. The licensee will indemnify the City to the extent allowed by law.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On April 12, 1989, the City Council authorized a revocable license to the City of Coppell for the purpose of installing and maintaining a waterline on public property near the intersection of North Lake and Belt Line Roads by Resolution No. 89-1141; Ordinance No. 20263.
