Title

Authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to Lease No. DTFACN-16-L-00133 between the City of Dallas and the Federal Aviation Administration, to extend the lease term for approximately 150 square feet of office space for the Contract Weather Observer station located in the terminal building at Dallas Love Field Airport for the period October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027 - Revenue: Aviation Fund $750.00

Body

BACKGROUND

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) leases approximately 150 square feet of office space located in the terminal building at Dallas Love Field Airport (Airport) for the Contract Weather Observer station. The FAA uses this space to monitor, record, and report real-time weather conditions to support safe operations at the Airport. The existing lease expires on September 30, 2026, and the FAA has a continuing need to occupy the space. This action will extend the term of the current lease by six months, from October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, while the parties re-negotiate new rental rates.
