BACKGROUND

The City of Dallas was awarded a grant of $12.69 million from the 2020 Highway Safety Improvement Program administered by TxDOT to upgrade 25 high accident intersections. Upgrades will include removal of existing traffic signals and replacing them with new traffic signals; pedestrian and Americans with Disabilities Act related improvements; and other related construction.

The City is responsible for design of the traffic signals which is being done in-house for an estimated value of $225,001.00 and is responsible for 100% of direct state costs to be paid to TxDOT in the amount of $223,456.32.
