Body
BACKGROUND
Enhanced markings identification and improved skid resistance help pilots identify apron-to-taxiway markings during nighttime, low visibility, and heavy rain/snow conditions reducing risks associated with an aircraft excursion from paved surfaces. Paved islands accommodate the best long-term pavement performance providing over a 20-year structural lifespan with minimal cracking and reduced airfield maintenance costs. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to expand the airside ramp space and pave the existing no-taxi islands at Dallas Executive Airport.
This action will authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the engineering services contract with Garver, LLC to amend the scope of work to include construction administration services to the Taxiway Apron Paved Islands Phase I at Dallas Executive Airport.
