BACKGROUND
This action will authorize the rejection of one bid received for the Frankford Road Project - Paving, Illumination and Traffic Signal Improvements, due to the bid significantly exceeding the project budget. Gadberry Construction, Inc., submitted the only bid received on Friday, June 16, 2023, in the amount of $6,093,333.00.
The Frankford Road Project - Paving, Illumination and Traffic Signal Improvements is anticipated to be re-advertised for a new round of competitive bids and bring the construction project to Council for consideration at the December 13, 2023, City Council meeting.
This project was publicly advertised for three consecutive weeks on May 31, 2023, June 7, 2023, and June 14, 2023 for the Frankford Road Project - Paving, Illumination and Traffic Signal Improvements. One sealed bid was received and opened on Friday, June 16, 2023.
