BACKGROUND

Lina T. Ramey and Associates, Inc. was established in 1998 in Dallas, Texas and their current corporate headquarters is located in Farmers Branch, Texas. On March 27, 2019, City Council authorized a professional services contract with Lina T. Ramey and Associates, Inc. for preliminary engineering design to develop an alignment study for three alternative alignments, environmental constraints analysis, data collection and analysis, conceptual drainage, documenting major utilities and potential impacts, and traffic projections for establishing a new roadway for Wheatland Road from the city limits to University Hills Boulevard by Resolution No. 19-0411.

The alignment study began April 2019 and was completed October 2019. The alternative alignments were presented to the public for input on the selection and Alignment B was selected as the preferred alignment.

On June 24, 2020, the City Council authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the professional services contract with Lina T. Ramey and Associates, Inc. to provide additional engineering design services for the construction of a new four-lane undivided roadway with reinforced concrete pavement, curb, gutter, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, intersection recons...
